If you are an HR professional interested in obtaining HR Certification, you have options to consider. Both the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) are certifying bodies for professional HR certification. SHRM Certifications- SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP

Applicants must meet specific educational and work experience criteria at the time they submit their application in order to be eligible to sit for the SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP exam.

HRCI Certifications- PHR and SPHR

Earning a credential from HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®) speaks volumes ― about you as an HR professional, about the organization you serve and about the employees who put their trust in you. An HRCI certification distinguishes you as a master in the HR field, with proven levels of skills and knowledge, and the competence necessary to mitigate risks and drive business results.

Whether you are an HR expert or just starting out, HRCI has a suite of proven credentials that are just right for your level of experience.

CVSHRM Can Help You Succeed!

The Cedar Valley SHRM Chapter forms and facilitates study groups in advance of each certification testing exam and provides test prep materials. In addition, CVSHRM members have the ability to apply for scholarships through the local chapter, as well as other reimbursement programs, that would assist in some of the cost associated with study materials and exam fees.
